Tenant Right

Tenant right was created to protect the tenant and landlord. Each party has a responsibility to live up to. The property manager/owner in short is obligated to perform certain functions, basically provide the tenant with a comfortable place to live. The tenant is responsible for paying the rent on time and in full, not damaging the rental, and not preventing the other tenants from enjoying their housing.

The tenant right is very similar in every state but each state does have slight differences. LandlordOnline.com has information on each states tenant right and laws.
